Our top tips for a seamless selection process

Here at Rosewood Communities, we take pride in the fact that our homes are highly customizable. From floor plan layouts to selections and finishes, the Rosewood team does everything they can to ensure that our clients are able to turn their dreams into reality. With dozens of flooring options, tile selections, lighting packages, and more to choose from, it can be easy to lose sight of your vision and become overwhelmed, turning the selections process from exciting to intimidating. However, with the right preparation and outlook, our sales team can help you make your selections process timely and relaxed, without compromising your design vision.

Here are our top tips on how to best prepare for your selections meeting:

1. Focus on the important things

a. When going into a selections meeting, it is important to think about the things that will be most important to you in your future home, as well as the things that you consider to be not as significant. For example, wall colors and flooring options may be the first things you notice in a home, but you haven’t ever given much thought to smaller details, such as faucets or fixtures. By communicating to the sales team the aspects most important to you, we can then coordinate your selections process to dedicate more time to those crucial elements, and less time to the elements that aren’t as meaningful.

2. Stay in your lane

a. When choosing selections and finishes for a home, we find that the smaller the amount of options to choose from, the easier it is for a client to make a confident decision. One way to do this is to communicate your likes and dislikes to the sales team at the beginning of the meeting. This way, the team can filter out your dislikes and bring out selections in smaller quantities. Narrowing down in this way can reduce the options from hundreds to dozens and make it easier for you to feel confident about your choices. Whether you are trying to stay within our standard finishes or choose to upgrade, the team will help you to select finishes that will keep you in a comfortable lane.

3. Make it yours

a. While we love the inspiration that home magazines, Pinterest, Houzz, and other interior design platforms can bring, it’s important to remember that your home will be only yours. Be sure to focus on the things that you love and will love for years to come. While it may be fun to design a Pinterest-worthy room, will you love it in a few years? Stick to your gut and choose the things that speak most to you.

With the right preparation and communication, our sales team can help guide you through the selections process, as you create the home of your dreams.
