Exciting Plans For Upstate, SC

Greenville County officials have set an infrastructure plan for a rapidly growing area in upstate South Carolina. Five Forks, a largely residential, 16-square-mile area southeast of Greenville, has seen its population nearly double within the past decade, with an annual rate of growth twice that of Greenville County as a whole. The plan is dedicated to preserving the rural, residential character of the area by supplementing the population increase with county regulations to promote sustainable growth.

In order to keep pace with the increasing development of the area, the county has enacted a plan to achieve sustainable growth through natural and historical preservation, improvement on connectivity and walkability of the area, and increasing residential access to recreational activities. As a way to preserve the natural character of Five Forks, which attracted many of its current residents to the area, environmental impacts will be minimized through preserving open spaces, trees, and other natural resources. Neighborhoods and communities near retail centers and schools will be better connected through the installment of safe walkways and bike paths, as well as connections between side streets and between retail complexes.

In the heart of Five Fork’s exciting new infrastructure plans lies Rosewood’s newest community, Pinecreek Cottages. This community features low-maintenance living, master suites on the main level, highly customizable floor plans, and incomparable quality.
